About the Founder

Abe Sztern is the founder and artist behind GhoulcraftFXStudio. At just 16 years old, Abe has been developing a passion for horror, practical effects, and hands-on creativity for many years.

Growing up, Abe was always fascinated by Halloween, monster masks, animatronics, and special effects props. While most kids enjoyed Halloween for the candy, Abe was drawn to the craftsmanship behind the creatures — studying the masks, props, and effects used to bring monsters to life.

Inspired by classic horror films, haunted attractions, and professional special effects studios, Abe began experimenting with sculpting, molds, and materials to create his own horror pieces. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a creative pursuit of building realistic horror props and macabre collectibles by hand.

Through trial, experimentation, and a lot of time spent learning the craft, Abe began developing detailed silicone props and other practical effects pieces. Each creation reflects a love for horror artistry and the traditional techniques used by practical effects artists.

Today, GhoulcraftFXStudio serves as Abe’s creative workshop — a place where disturbing ideas turn into handcrafted horror props. From silicone severed fingers to future masks and larger prop builds, the goal is to continue expanding the studio and bringing more original creations to horror fans, collectors, filmmakers, and haunted attractions.
